When the first snow fell
It had your eyes painted across the sky
The street lights and all of the passing cars in a somehow crying voice
But you kept smiling
You never stopped smiling

The snow will always shine as love never truly fades away
If you could reach snow, I’d hold your warmth, as I always would, as I always have
As I always will

You’ve never known this winter
You’ve never known my sadness

I want to hold your hand under the enshrouded sky
Knowing that you’re safe here
With me

All the tears I’ve cried
And you never stopped smiling
